We need your help to raise essential funds to support the ongoing operational expenses of the Inuka Tusonge vocational centre for vulnerable women in Tanzania.

Join us for 2 days meandering this stunning stretch of coast in the company of friends. Starting at Pretty Beach (Car park) and ending at Maloney’s Beach.

The Murramarang South Coast Walk is a stunning 34km hike through Murramarang National Park along the NSW South Coast of Australia on the land of the Yuin Nation. 

This is a Grade 4 walk with undulating terrain, sand stretches, slippery rocks and loose pebbles. In a few small sections you’ll be walking on slippery rock platforms and cobbled beaches. Depending on tides and rainfall you may need to cross Durras Lake. You will need to able to hike with a pack that contains at least 5 litres of water as well as appropriate clothing for all weather conditions.

Located 2.5 hours’ drive from Canberra and approx 4 hours from Sydney, we will be traversing this trail over 2 days, with the option of spending 3 nights at NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort on Friday 2/10, Saturday 3/10 & Sunday 4/10.

Day 1: Friday 2/10 - Transit day

Today you will make your way from your home State to NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort ready for an early start tomorrow.

We have reserved 7 cabins that accommodate 5 people per cabin (One double, 2 Single + 1 Sofa Bed).

Day 2: Saturday 3/10 - Hike 18km (7-8 Hours)

Today we will wake early and transfer to Pretty Beach Trailhead for the start of the hike. We will finish at NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort and overnight there again so you can leave your belongings at the cabins.

  • The hike from Pretty Beach to Depot Beach is a Grade 4, 10km hike and generally takes 3-6 hours.

  • The Hike from Depot Beach to NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort is 8 km and generally takes 3-4 hours.

We have reserved 7 cabins that accommodate 5 people per cabin (One double, 2 Single + 1 Sofa Bed).

Day 3: Sunday 4/10 - Hike 16km (6 Hours)

Today we will wake early and hike to Maloney’s Beach Trailhead. At the end of the hike we will be transported back to Pretty Beach to collect cars and then overnight at NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort.

We have reserved 7 cabins that accommodate 5 people per cabin (One double, 2 Single + 1 Sofa Bed).

  • If you don’t have a valid annual parks pass in NSW, you’ll need to buy a day pass for your vehicle.

  • You can buy a day pass at the physical pay machines located at the entry points of the national park's day-use areas (like Pebbly Beach or Depot Beach).

  • You cannot buy park passes at the Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort.

  • Day passes relate to vehicles, not people, so you only need to buy one pass for each vehicle.

  • Day passes are currently listed as $8.00 per day.
